In 1996, automotive engineer Harold Martin launched Martin Motorsports with a vision of delivering value added, creative solutions through a unique blend of his OEM and motorsports expertise.
Harold Martin, a prominent engineer with 10 world patents to his credit, was eager to implement new innovations in the motorsports industry. Those innovations have made their way into thousands of race programs contributing to class records, wins and championships. A world class example of Harold’s contributions include his design anddevelopment of the first Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI)engine in the Pro Modified drag racing class. He validated his design by being the first to win with Electronic Fuel Injection.
Martin earned his nickname – the “EFI Wizard” – bysharing his expertise with industry leaders. He has spoken at hundreds of events and continues to be a highly requested keynote speaker. In addition to sharing his experiences on related to engineering, automotive technology, motorsports and business development subject matter, Harold delivers motivational messages to inspire youth by encouraging them to set goals and work toward the fulfillment of their dreams through hard work and commitment.
In 2000, the company added MARTIN Technologies to meet the demand for transportation and automotive technology services. In 2002, Martin added a state of art facility that specializes in automotive programs, powertrain design, development, testing, validation, performance packages and professional race teams.
Building on Harold’s commitment to innovation and driven by his vision, Team MARTIN has become well-respected in the transportation and motorsports industries. The MARTIN organization has grown tremendously over the years. Our ability to deliver focused solutions to customers, results in shorter lead times for program execution. We have proven that integrated services provide tremendous inefficiencies and synergies. The team has strategically acquired skills and expertise in areas such as advanced engine design, cylinder bore coatings, piston ring technologies, friction characteristics, electronic engine and powertrain management, fabrication and instrumentation. MARTIN has successfully performed over 2 million hours of engineering testing services and 100 million miles for transportation companies. MARTIN continues to expand their global footprint. No less than 5 new facilities will be completed by early 2018.
